Motivating Things to do When You Feel Upset
Sometimes we feel strangely bored without knowing why. But this doesn’t mean there is no reason behind that boredom. There is a reason for sure, and it is our duty to reveal it and to do something motivating against it.
At the first moments it’s hard to understand what’s the real reason that causes us boredom, but in general terms it is caused by a goal we are losing hope for.
For example you love tennis and you wish to become a good player. 8 months passed and you didn’t managed to perform it well yet. Somebody reminded you that 8 months passed since you shared your desire to perform tennis well and you start to doubt your abilities to learn tennis.
You don’t feel bad about it at that moment because you don’t lose your hope immediately. But one night suddenly you feel so upset and depressed. You can’t realize why, you try to increase your level of dopamine by drinking or smoking but it doesn’t work yet.
This is the effect of losing hope on something, that’s why you should react against it immediately even if you don’t know what made you feel bad. There can be more than one reason for your boredom, like relationship problems, financial, social, or healthy problems, however you can’t realize what is making you upset at the moment.
To react against this bad situation start to remember all your important things in your life. What are you trying to do? Who do you love the most? Who do you want to be? Then try to understand the problems you are facing on every area you answer.
After you have remembered all your important goals and their problems start to think of alternative solutions you never thought before. Search the net or books for ideas if anything pop ups in your head. One of this solutions will be exactly about the problem which is making you feel upset, so you will experience a mood change after you do this experiment.
New solutions you will find will give you hope, so don’t think you are in the perfect path to your goals, there are always better ways you never thought before, there are always things that can be improved, so open your mind and you will find new solutions, restore your hope, and feel glad again :)
