Today I will talk about an important topic that can have a
dramatic impact on your life. Yes I am talking about the reason why you should
overcome laziness.
Before I make my points clear, let me tell you a short story
first. This story consists of two people who are related together from a hotel.
Their names are Mr. Worker and Mr. Lazy.
After Mr. Lazy built his hotel, he had to work to market his
new business. He had heard about some easy tips on how to market his hotel, like
distributing some paper ads, and he spent a huge time in this effort.
He started to progress in baby steps while years were
passing, but many years passed and he didn’t see a significant success yet. So
he started to doubt his business idea and he thought that hotels are not so
good for business and he sold his hotel for a cheap price.
The person who bought his hotel was Mr. Worker. Mr. Worker
understood the fact that his marketing efforts will be crucial in hotel’s
success, but unlike Mr. Lazy he didn’t want to distribute paper ads even though
it was an easy strategy.
Instead he marketed his hotel by getting interviews from the
biggest media channels on TV and on popular magazines. This strategy required a
lot of effort and a lot of time compared to distributing paper ads, because it
wasn’t easy to convince popular medias to give him importance.
But this strategy that required a big effort and time
rewarded him with a big success that he never imagined. His hotel became one of
the most popular hotels in his country and he never run out of clients even
when he raised the price of his services 3 folds.
Are you still wondering what’s the relation between trying difficult strategies and success? Well, the truth is that easy strategies are applied by
too many people after a while, and because of this, those easy strategies loose
their effectiveness.
The majority of people are lazy and they love easy
strategies that don’t require big efforts, so you won’t find easy tries that
are not tried by millions of other people. How can you expect such tries will
work yet if everyone does the same thing?
However still too many people aim for jobs that are called
profitable since some decades ago, still to many people who work online base
their marketing only on search engines, only because they don’t need a big
effort. This resulted on everyone doing the same things that is exactly what
made this paths useless and ineffective.
The lesson of this post is clear now. Never follow the crowd
if you want to make your tries to work. And follow difficult strategies that
need too much effort, because you will find only a few people are doing that. You
will see that if you overcome your laziness, you will progress in bigger steps,
you will reveal that reality isn’t so cruel with real workers.
Never listen to lazy people who teach you that you can be successful by doing easy tasks, instead take the time to put much more effort to whatever you do to make it more special, so your work will stand out, because this is the only way to succeed nowadays.
